Maid-sama! Manga Series Gets New Volume in August

Special edition of volume to bundle drama CD

The June issue of Hakusensha's LaLa magazine announced on Tuesday that Hakusensha will publish a new volume of Hiro Fujiwara's Maid Sama! manga titled Kaichō wa Maid-sama! Marriage on August 3. A special edition of the volume will bundle a drama CD.

The June issue also published a new chapter of of the manga that focused on Usui and Misaki's life post-marriage.

Viz Media published omnibus versions of the manga in English with new translations, and it describes the story:

As if being class president of a predominantly male high school wasn't hard enough, Misaki Ayuzawa has a major secret - she works at a maid cafe after school! How is she supposed to keep her image of being ultra smart, strong, and overachieving intact once school heartthrob Takumi Usui discovers her double life?!

Can Misaki trust Usui to keep her secret from the rest of the kids at school? And why the heck is he always showing up at the maid cafe? Maybe she should start taking him seriously when he says he likes her - especially when he throws in an unexpected kiss!

Fujiwara launched the manga in LaLa in 2006, and ended it in 2013. Hakusensha published 18 compiled book volumes for the manga. Tokyopop published eight volumes of the manga before the company shut down its North American publishing division in 2011. Viz Media's omnibus releases began in 2015, and compiles two volumes in each release. The ninth and final omnibus volume shipped in August 2017.

Maid Sama! inspired a 26-episode television anime series from J.C. Staff in 2010, and Sentai Filmworks released the series on DVD in North America.

Fujiwara ended her Does Yuki Fall To Hell? (Yuki wa Jigoku ni Ochiru no Ka) manga in LaLa in September 2016. Hakusensha published six compiled book volumes for the manga. Fujiwara published a crossover between Maid Sama! and Does Yuki Fall To Hell? in LaLa in December 2016.
