2nd Fate/stay night Heaven's Feel Anime Film's Full Trailer Previews Aimer's Theme Song

The live-streamed "Fate [HF] II New Information Unveiling! X'mas 7 Great Presents Special" on the Abema TV service debuted the full trailer for Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel II. lost butterfly, the second film in the Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel anime film trilogy, on Saturday. The trailer features the theme song "I beg you" performed by Aimer.

Aimer previously performed the theme song for the first film, Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel I. presage flower. The films' composer Yuki Kajiura is again providing the music and producing the new theme song for the second film. The song will ship as Aimer's 16th single on January 9, and a limited edition with packaging for the anime will be available.

Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel II. lost butterfly will open in Japan on January 12, 2019 in 131 theaters. The film was originally slated to premiere in Japan this year. Aniplex of America will screen the film in the United States in 2019. Tokyo's Shinjuku Wald 9 theater and Tokushima's ufotable Cinema will screen the film early on January 9, and Ticket Pia will start an early ticket drawing for these screenings on December 22 at 11:00 a.m.

People who see the film in its first week of release will receive an A5-sized illustration board with an exclusive illustration of Saber Alter by Takashi Takeuchi (pictured below).

Over-the-air television stations in the Hokkaido, Miyagi, Niigata, Shizuoka, Aichi, Osaka, and Fukuoka prefectures will air the first film during the first two weeks of January. The series' official twitter account and the pixiv website will hold an illustration contest from December 17 to February 15. There will also be a campaign in which people who buy audio and video goods from the series will receive a bonus New Year's illustration (pictured below).

Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel I. presage flower opened at #1 at the Japanese box office by both attendance and box office earnings in October 2017. The film sold a total of 980,000 tickets to earn 1.5 billion yen (about US$13.5 million).

The film held its United States premiere at The Theater At Ace Hotel in Los Angeles last November. More theaters began screening the film on November 17, with screenings running into mid-December. The film screened in Canada on January 14. The English dub of the first film debuted in theaters in the United States on June 5 and June 7. Aniplex of America released the film on Blu-ray Disc on November 20.

Tomonori Sudō (Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works, Fate/Zero animation director) is directing the films, and ufotable is animating the work. Yuki Kajiura (Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works theme song composer, Fate/Zero music and theme song composer) is composing the music. Takahiro Miura is providing the storyboards. Aimer performed the first film's theme song.
