Grasshopper Manufacture Reveals Let It Die: Inferno Sequel Game
posted on by Anita Tai
During Sony's State of Play livestream on Wednesday, Grasshopper Manufacture announced Let It Die: Inferno, a new sequel to its 2016 game which will launch for the PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam on December 3 PST, and on December 4 in Japan.
The company describes the game:
LET IT DIE: INFERNO is a Rogue-Lite Survival Action game where you can engage in chaotic battles with grotesque monsters, enemy factions, and even other players.
Humanity had just recovered from the unprecedented cataclysm known as "Earth Rage," when suddenly, a massive chasm appeared—large enough to swallow an entire city whole. Someone began calling the hole “Hell Gate,” and lying at its depths is the "Eye of the Reaper," a powerful crystal containing the energy to rule the world. Explore, survive, and extract from the Inferno, where stage layouts and item placements differ every match.
In this game, on top of PvEvP—where players and enemies collide within Hell Gate—there is also a mode for battling exclusively with other players. We hope you enjoy this powered-up version of the LET IT DIE world!
Suda51 and GungHo Online Entertainment revealed the original Let It Die game in its first incarnation in 2013 as a game titled Lily Bergamo. Illustrator Yuusuke Kozaki (No More Heroes, Speed Grapher, Donyatsu) is in charge of the game's artwork. They revealed the game again in 2014 with a new art style, and with its current title of Let it Die. The game launched on 2016 for the PS4 worldwide, and in Japan in 2017.
Grasshopper Manufacture and Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes director Ren Yamazaki announced in June their new PS5 game Romeo is a Dead Man.
Suda and Hidetaka "Swery65" Suehiro's Hotel Barcelona game will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam this year.
