Layin' Low, But Gettin' Down: TAKII 6 ~NintenDecision 2008~ Unveilings & Updates

August 3rd, 2008 -- Upper Darby, PA -- Over the past 3.5 months, "the world's most extreme Asian culture fusion festival" has made massive strides in making the 6th season of its celebratory spectacular the most momentous occasion of October 2008. From infrastructure to initiatives, the Team TAKII Coalition has overhauled not only the official website & forums, but many other items of interest, as well. Here's but a sampling of what we've been up to:

TAKII HQ (http://takii.pdnmz.com)
In an effort to accommodate the increased traffic TAKII faithful give our online presence on a daily basis, we have revamped the look & accessibility of TAKII HQ. Thanks to inspirations & advice from Komet Tails Designs, fans can now keep scrolling to a minimum & entertainment to a maximum. A newly dedicated menu now exists on the right-hand side, with the TAKII seasonal banner on the top left portion of every page. Following below is a CSS-style info applet, featuring each TAKII realm in even greater detail than ever before. The official TAKII 6 Countdown Applet, as well as Syndicated News Feeds, are now available on every section, as well.

REGISTRATION (http://takii.pdnmz.com/registration.html)
With our 1st pre-reg period over & our 2nd one coming to a close, we are happy to announce that the demand for our exclusive #1 Contender's Passes & Table Slots have been a great success! While TAKII 6 is FREE to enter, obtaining a #1 Contender's Pass allows the holder to have unlimited, unrestricted access to all of TAKII 6 ~NintenDecision 2008~'s contests, competitions, talent & game shows, raffles, & other perks that must be seen to be believed. Complementing our Passes are the Table Slots, which give vendors, artists, & exhibitionists alike the chance to show off their inventory & artisanship in front of a very unique, enthusiastic demographic. Until August 11th, 2008, you can pre-reg for a #1 Contender's Pass for just $6.00, or a Table Slot for only $25.00.

EVENTS (http://takii.pdnmz.com/events.html)
With the unique season that is TAKII 6 ~NintenDecision 2008~, festivities in each of our main genres have been split up into 2 groups: virtual programming (Day 1 @ TAKII HQ) & physical programming (Day 2 @ The Rotunda). A key has also been provided for TAKII attendees to see which events are completely free & are only accessible to those with a #1 Contender's Pass, a major upgrade from last season. Among other noteworthy "Events" news is the completion of "NintenDecision 2008 Election Epicenter" (focusing on TAKII 6's drive for voting awareness this election season), even more festivity premiers (such as "StepMania Shining Stars"), fan-produced programming (for which "Extreme X-Pose Panel Series" apps are currently being accepted) & the 1-of-a-kind broadcast debut of Asian Multimedia Entertainment Network (AMEN), our answer to pure TAKII pleasure, 24/7. Press releases on further details are forthcoming.

GUESTS & PERFORMERS (http://takii.pdnmz.com/guests_performers.html)
Featuring returns, comebacks, & debuts, the ever-evolving line-up of guests & performers for TAKII 6 ~NintenDecision 2008~ is something the Team TAKII Coalition is immensely proud of. Those who are scheduled to be involved with TAKII 6 will also have the chance to be featured on Day 1 of TAKII 6 via the fusion festival's Asian Multimedia Entertainment Network (AMEN), chatting live with fans in our multimedia-heavy interactive chat room, calling in on our numerous live audio shows, & other nuggets of programming the Coalition is hard at work on developing. Official guest/performer announcements are forthcoming.

INTERACTION (http://takii.pdnmz.com/interaction.html)
After a series of meetings in the aftermath of TAKII 5, it was decided that all supporters of the fusion festival's cause would be re-branded as the "Team TAKII" Coalition. This was done to create an even stronger sense of belonging & purpose in our eternal goal of international Asian culture awareness & celebration to hardcore extremes. The show of support in this "upgraded" venture has been just as intense as it has been heartwarming....& we couldn't be more thankful for it ^_^. In other news, a new online TAKII community on FlashFlash Revolution (FFR) was founded in the late spring 2008 & a new utility for TAKII-specific tools was developed.

FEEDBACK FORUM (viewforum.php?f=9)
In conjunction with making our website even more enjoyable, the TAKII Feedback Forum was also taken to the extreme. After moving to a brand new server & upgrading to PHPBB 3, pointless posts were replaced with a new system of categorization for the entire PDNMZ Empire, featuring forum hacks, greater profile customization, improved news reports, interactivity, & plenty more. TAKII faithful worldwide are encouraged to join the Feedback Forum & contribute to its stellar success.

MISCELLANEOUS (http://takii.pdnmz.com/regulations.html) (http://takii.pdnmz.com/directions.html) (http://takii.pdnmz.com/history.html)
As it relates to our "Rules & Regulations", the only major change for TAKII 6 & forward is the following: fans are no longer allowed to bring their own controllers when playing video games. In order to create an even playing field during the fusion festival's Vid Game Free Play & Vid Game Tourneys offerings, only TAKII-provided peripherals will be utilized. When it comes to "Directions" for TAKII 6, Day 1 info was added (Day 1 of TAKII 6 = online @ TAKII HQ), while Day 2 info was re-evaluated to include more info about the area of Philly TAKII takes place in (the University City section of Philadelphia, PA).

Some people might say that the 2nd half of 2008 is hot with a large number of Asian-themed events taking place all over the globe. However, we can say with complete certainty that TAKII 6 ~NintenDecision 2008~ is on fire, blazing a path to glory in just over 2 months towards a fusion festival that promises to be the most uniquely epic celebration of Asian culture appreciation that Philly has ever seen. ...."& we've only just begun."
