Luna Haruna Comes to Hawaii for Kawaii Kon

A rising star in the anisong world Japanese singer Luna Haruna will be performing in Hawaii for the first time at the anime convention Kawaii Kon. Luna has produced several hit songs, including Overfly, from Sword Art Online (fairy arc), Aioutae, from Monogatari, and Ripple Effect from High School Fleet.

Born on October 11th, Luna Haruna is an up-and-coming AniSong (anime song) artist in Japan. At the The 4th Animax Anison Grand Prix held in 2011, Luna became a finalist which led to her making her major-label debut. Her debut single “Sora wa takaku Kaze wa utau” (The ending theme song to “Fate/Zero 2nd season”) which was produced by the renowned anime song producer, Yuki Kajiura, and released in May 2012.

Since then, Luna has had many hit songs, including: Overfly (the ending theme song for Sword Art Online (Fairy Arc)), Aioutae (the ending theme song for Monogatari series 2nd season), Startear (the ending theme song for Sword Art Online II) , Kimi Iro Signal (the opening theme song for Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend), Ripple Effect (the ending theme song for High School Fleet), and Windia (the theme for the Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization video game.

With her sweet-looking appearance and deeply-resonating voice, Luna has had high level of popularity both in and out of Japan, and been invited as the musical guest to events held across the world. She also expresses her talent as a fashion model and often appears on the cover of the popular fashion magazine “KERA”.

Kawaii Kon is a locally run three day convention dedicated to promoting a greater awareness and appreciation for all fandoms with an emphasis on Japanese animation, culture, and traditions. Through cooperation with the community, Kawaii Kon endeavors to facilitate growth of anime, manga, Japanese culture and related industries in Hawaii and beyond.
