The Promised Neverland Anime to Get Full Exposure in France, with VIZ Media Europe Acquiring Broadcasting Rights

Paris, 30th July, 2019 – Viz Media Europe is thrilled to announce the acquisition of the mystery- thriller- adventure show broadcasting and distribution rights (TV, VOD, Home Video and non-exclusive digital rights) for French speaking European territories.

Inspired by the successful manga written by Shirai Kaiu and illustrated by Demizu Posuka, the series follows orphans Emma and Norman who live with 36 other children at Grace Field House as they discover a terrible secret after venturing somewhere they were not supposed to go...

The Promised Neverland has been a key series ever since the launch of the Manga in France on April 2018 by the publisher Kazé, leading to selling over 500,000 copies to date.

The show, which was broadcast from January in Japan, contains 12 episodes. A second season has been announced for 2020. 'There is no doubt that The Promised Neverland is one of this Anime shows that deserve bigger exposure.' Said Aâdil Tayouga, Viz Media Europe EMEA TV Series / Films & Licensing Executive Manager. ‘Our goal is also to grow the love for the genre with local broadcast partners’.
