On Monday May 30, Anime Limited will release the Blu-ray edition of Assassination Classroom. (The DVD will follow on June 20.) Viz Media has described the story:

A humorous and action-packed story about a class of misfits who are trying to kill their new teacher – an alien octopus with bizarre powers and super strength! The teacher has just destroyed the moon and is threatening to destroy the earth – unless his students can destroy him first. What makes things more complicated is that he's the best teacher they've ever had!

Jun Fukuyama will plays Koro-sensei, Tomokazu Sugita plays Tadaomi Karasuma and Shizuka Itou plays Irina Jelavic.

Seiji Kishi (Persona 4 The Animation, Danganronpa The Animation, Devil Survivor 2 The Animation) is directing the anime at the studio Lerche. Kazuaki Morita (Persona 4 The Animation, Danganronpa The Animation, Arpeggio of Blue Steel) is designing the characters, and Makoto Uezu (Danganronpa The Animation, Arpeggio of Blue Steel, Is This a Zombie?, School Days) is writing the scripts.

Anime Limited is also releasing Durarara!!×2 Shō as a Blu-ray Collector's Edition and a standard DVD. The series is set half a year after the events of the first season, Ikebukuro has begun to return to normal. High school is in session, Izaya is back to scheming and Celty, the legendary headless rider, is still chased by the police as she rides through the town. But a few unusual things have slipped into the mix. Gradually, thanks to outside elements, Ikebukuro will be thrown back into chaos.

Durarara!!×2 continues to adapt Ryohgo Narita's Durarara!! "high-tension suspense action" light novels and follows on from the 2010 Durarara!! anime series. Takahiro Omori directed Durarara!!×2 at new studio Shuka with series composition by Noboru Takagi. Takahiro Kishida designed the characters for the series. The main cast from the original anime reprises their roles.

Anime Limited's third release this week is the film Psychic School Wars, released as both a Blu-ray/DVD Collector's Edition and a standard DVD. In the film, Kōji Seki attends Abeno 6th Middle School, a prep school where the high emphasis on studying leads to unruly students. When Michiru Takamizawa is elected the student council president she begins ruling over the school with a brutal iron fist. Kōji rises up against Michiru and Kazumi Kusumoto joins him in the battle with the student council.

Nerawareta Gakuen is based off Taku Mayumura's 1976 science-fiction children's novel of the same name. The novel has previously inspired four live-action television adaptations and two live-action films. However this anime film adaptation is the first time the novel has been made into an anime feature. The film was produced by Sunrise's Studio 8 (My-HiME, Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere, Accel World) with director Ryosuke Nakamura (Mōryō no Hako, Aoi Bungaku Series) and released in Japanese theaters in November 2012.

.MVM is releasing Tsukimonogatari, part of the Monogatari franchise, on both Blu-ray and DVD. Anime Consortium Japan describes the story:

The time is February, after the ordeal with Nadeko Sengoku was resolved thanks to Deishu Kaiki working behind the scenes. As Koyomi Araragi studied for that last push before the college entrance exams, a change to his physical body that "could not be overlooked" was starting to happen. The difference that could be described as retribution for all his past action is...!?

For Tsukimonogatari, Hiroshi Kamiya and Saori Hayami reprise their roles as their characters Koyomi Araragi and Yotsugi Ononoki, respectively. Akiyuki Simbo returns as chief director of the anime, while Tomoyuki Itamura serves as director. The anime is once again produced at Shaft, and Akio Watanabe serves as animation director. Fuyashi Tou and Simbo are in charge of the series scripts.
