Well, mental illness is not something you can really "recover" from. You can only "deal with it" to a certain degree. Best wishes to him

I guess Yuma doing so is all for the best given his current mental condition.

Depends upon the illness, I suppose. I've had episodes of depression and I'd say "recover" is an appropriate term to use after each case. I'm always afraid I'll have another episode, so perhaps remission is a better word.
