I only registered to ask a question regarding the name of an anime I read about a few weeks back. Something about students of some sort of academy getting assigned partners who turn out to be the weapons they use. Something like that. Probably got the premise entirely wrong, but that's how I remember it. Anywho, my name's Ant, I love anime, and... yeah... hi.
EDIT: Didn't notice a form on the first post. Silly me. Name: Ant. Anthony, really, but everyone just calls me Ant. Sex: Male Blood Type: No frakkin clue. Location: Kokomo, IN, US Marital Status: Single Age: 18 Ethnicity: 50% Latino/Hispanic/Mexican/Whatever you want to call it. The other 50% percent is made up of random europeon flavors. I realize it’s kind of cheating, since it’s a series of anthologies, but they are consistently beautiful and well-planned. Other manga I’ve read and particularly enjoyed are Chobits, Suzuka Akira (even better than the movie, btw), Dance in the Vampire Bund and Death Note. Favorite Books: Anything by Michael Chabon, Kurt Vonnegut, Harlan Ellison or Christopher Moore. Favorite Comics: Basically any comics written by Warren Ellis (especially Planetery, Fell, Nextwave and Doktor Sleepless), Ed Brubaker (Criminal, Sleeper and Captain America), Brian K. Vaughan (Y The Last Man [my all-time favorite comic—if you haven’t read this, go pick up the first volume now!], Ex Machina), Peter David (X-Factor and She-Hulk [seriously, his run was so fun!]), Matt Wagner (Grendel and Madame Xanadu), Matt Fraction (The Immortal Iron Fist, Casanova, Uncanny X-Men) or Jason Aaron (Scalped in particular). Favorite Webcomics: Penny Arcade, Questionable Content and Warren Ellis’ Freakangels. Favorite game: Oblivion. Other favorites include Counter-Strike: Source, Final Fantasy VII, Secret of Monkey Island, Final Fantasy X, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, Deus Ex, and basically anything I haven’t already mentioned that falls into the FPS-with-strong-RPG-elements category (Fallout 3, Bioshock, System Shock 2, etc.). I’m a big Green Bay fan -- go Pack go! Also, on occaision, I’ve been seen cheering for the Seahawks. Favorite Music: I love old 90s alt-rock. Short story: My freshman year I decided to do sports in order to lose weight because I was a little fatty, but due to weight lifting for 5 years (1 middle school, 4 high school) I ended up gaining about 40lbs. I just find it ironic that I did sports to lose weight, but sports had me gain weight. My 42 inch TV doubles as my computer monitor. Be jealous.
If you look in my room you'll see that the only items I bought are my TV, Computer, DVD's and Xbox 360. Everything else (couch, bed, clothes, microwave, entertainment center, etc) was either found through my job, trashman, or built by me.
I've had 7 concussions, 6 due to football and one due to fight when I was a sophmore, so my head is really, really sensitve.
I have the biggest fear of bodies of water (pools, rivers, lakes, etc) you've ever seen. I start shaking when I see people jump in water when they're just on TV.
