It's always a sad day when a good person passes. I hope that his family can get through this painful time. 51 is too young to go. Both my parents are well past that point and it just reminds me how fragile our lives can be.

Aww how sad, I'm not extremely familiar with his work outside of Tsubasa Chronicle. Truly he will be missed.

So sad to hear. I've seen the majority of his work and enjoyed it very much. He will be missed. My thoughts go out to his family and friends.

Oh man...my own Dad just turned 51 last week. I can't imagine losing him now, it's far too long. I'll be praying for his family.

"Spencer Prokop was a good man. He was one of us. He was a man who loved the outdoors... and anime, and as a surfer he explored the beaches of Southern California, from La Jolla to Leo Carrillo and... up to... Pismo. He died, like so many young men of his generation, he died before his time. In your wisdom, Lord, you took him, as you took so many bright flowering young men at Khe Sanh, at Langdok, at Hill 364. These young men gave their lives. And so would Spencer. Spencer, who loved anime. And so, Spencer Prokop, in accordance with what we think your dying wishes might well have been, we commit your final mortal remains to the bosom of the Internets, which you loved so well. Good night, sweet prince. "

This is saddening news. I very much enjoyed the script for School Rumble.
My heart goes out to his friends and family.

Some might complain about their liberties, but I absolutely adore the vast majority of their dubs and script changes (Wallflower certainly comes to mind as a show where the dub completely changed my opinion around xD)! |
There certainly have been a lot of anime related losses this past year. My thoughts go out to this family and friends.
Though I do have to point out that the Wallflower dub was done by ADV and not Funimation.
