Episode 2
I was glad for a second appearance of the tiger, but annoyed that its motives are still mostly unexplored. I had hoped this would be a 3 episode arc, but that doesn't look like the case. The Hitagi/Tsubasa dynamics are still enjoyable for me though, I feel like there's a lot left before it begins to get old. |

LOL, so much fan service in this series 
Glad to see spoiler[Tsubasa in neko form again though. I missed that from Nekomonogatari: Kuro] that aired earlier this year. Speaking of which...this episode also made me quite hungry literally. |

If she can grow her entire body back in a few seconds, growing your hair out that fast seems trivial. I mean, she's not even human in the first place, is she? |

She has the spoiler[soul of a phoenix. Or was it put as some sort of Cookoo kind of supernatural being, that replaced where a human soul would have gone, and arguably in the spiritual sense, not a human?]

It didn't have anything to do with her soul, did it? I don't think her body is human either. The pheonix implanted itself into their mother's womb. The analogy of the cuckoo makes it pretty straightforward (cuckoos lay their eggs in the nests of other birds). They made a pretty big deal about her not being related to her family at all, which mere soul-reincarnation doesn't seem like it would accomplish. She's essentially a phoenix that's been adopted.

wow, Mrs. Araragi is quite the MILF, and very perceptive too. Half of what is going on doesn't make sense, but I figure we will find out when the time is right.

His mother kind of reminds me of a mix of Koyomi and Hitagi. Probably the real reason why Koyomi started dating her.

Too bad Hanekawa didn't realize spoiler[she loves Araragi before he was snatched up]. Her life is pretty sad. spoiler[I don't know if rolling around on the bed was supposed to be humorous, but I just found it to be depressing.]

I have not read the novels so this is my first time seeing spoiler[Gaen] ever on screen I believe. She's an interesting girl though and looks cool. I still appreciate the dialogues and word plays quite a bit. Speaking of which, I wonder when Araragi-kun will soon show up.... I can't wait to see the next episode though! |
