I never understood Genma. Spends most of his time on screen in panda form and the one time there's a chance to get rid of the curse ferociously fights Ranma for it.

That's a good point. But maybe it's because Pandaman isn't actually a panda, but a human with a panda mask or a panda head (it's never been clear which).

Pandas are cute but they are the most useless creatures on the planet. Not my words, but Taiwan news. It is true. But folks love them. I can't think of any other shows that have pandas. Of course 'Polar Bear Cafe', the idea of finding a panda that can do the work of a panda. LOL. He was a panda that was already lazy like a real panda. Yet it was hard work being A panda. That was pretty damn hilarious. And poor Mr. Llama, nobody would come and see him.
