Currently I'm looking forward to getting hold of the Mononoke series as mentioned in that thread.

Princess Mononoke is a single movie, I can't really comment on it more than that.

I believe plotoside may be referring to this series, which to my knowledge is completely unrelated to the Miyazaki film.

Missed that one, it's getting harder and harder to keep up.

Zin5ki is correct, and the good news is that after much searching I managed to find the series, in digital form at least and with subtitles.

I am slowly wading my way though the vast universe of anime that has been released in recent years and plucking out the odd gems that appeal to me. Recently I found Pale Cocoon and Kaiba, and also have Mind Game on the list of things to check out.

cheers all Smile

Is Pale Cocoon anything like Kaiba? I was interested in both, but when I saw the former I can't say it was the sort of directorial style I appreciate the most. I'm hoping for an English-language release of the latter, so that some more reviews of it will crop up in due time.

In terms of appearance these two are worlds apart, visually Kaiba reminds me a little of Moibus. Have only watched the first few eps so far.

A shame as well. Especially in virtue of the fact that news articles do seem to occur within the Australian section of ANN. I'd have thought that today's Clannad license would cause some jubilant commotion here, but alas it has not.
