The space-time quirk ending to the space race for love reminds us of the ending to Gunbuster. (And Dandy is not an imbecile, more like irresponsible.)
Props that this show is trying to be ambitious whatever it is trying to do. Seems the production crew just having fun without worrying too much about the bean-counters.
Williams Street had mentioned before that yeah if all they're going for is ratings, then they'll just fill Adult Swim with their own high rating shows, but they're keeping anime because they want to give some edginess to Adult Swim that's not seen in other major networks. |

I wasn't sold on the show at first but I kept watching anyway. I like it's comedic nature and the zombie episode as with most people is what had me sold.
And I agree that the Bebop referencing has gotten really old but eh, what can ya do? People like to compare. =S |
