Introduction to Mineralogy Anime's New Video Unveils More Staff, Theme Songs, July 6 Debut

Aniplex started streaming on Thursday the second promotional video for the television anime of Keiichirō Shibuya's Introduction to Mineralogy (Ruri no Hōseki) manga. The video reveals more staff members, opening and ending theme songs, and the anime's July 6 premiere. The video reveals and previews the opening theme song "Hikari no Sumika" (Home of Light') by artist Rei Yasuda, and the ending theme song "Sapphire" by Hana Hope.
The newly announced additional staff members are:

- Mineral Design: CLUSELLER
- Art Director: Shunichirō Yoshihara

- Sound Effects: Takuya Hasegawa

The anime will premiere on July 6 first on the AT-X channel at 9:00 p.m. JST (8:00 a.m. EDT), then on Tokyo MX channel at 9:30 p.m. JST, and on BS11 at 10:30 p.m. JST. The anime will later air on ABC TV and TV Aichi on July 9.

Shingo Fujii (ONIMAI: I'm Now Your Sister!) is directing the anime at Studio Bind. Michiko Yokote (Shirobako, Prison School, Princess Tutu, Rurouni Kenshin) is in charge of series composition. Mayu Fujii (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation II episode animation director) is designing the characters. Kōhei Yoshida is the sound director. Daisuke Achiwa and Kazuki Yanagawa are composing the music. EGG FIRM is producing the anime.
The "science adventure" story follows high school student Ruri, a girl who loves minerals and jewelry. One day, she meets mineralogy graduate student Nagi who pulls her into the world of mineralogy.
Shibuya launched the series in Kadokawa's Harta magazine in 2019. Kadokawa shipped the fifth and final compiled book volume on September 13.
