The staff for Otakon 2025 announced on Wednesday that it will host the creative team behind the Too Many Losing Heroines! light novels: novelist Takibi Amamori, artist Imigimuru, and deputy editor-in-chief Kentaro Iwaasa.

Amamori is the novelist behind the novels. He won the Gagaga prize in the 15th Shogakukan Light Novel Awards in 2020 with his short story Am I Just a Random Mob Character Standing Next to the Losing Heroine in the Final Episode?, which he would relaunch as Too Many Losing Heroines! in 2021.

Imigimuru is the artist behind the light novels' illustrations and has also worked on titles such as Lycoris Recoil and Fate/Grand Order. He is also the creator of the This Art Club Has a Problem! manga.

Iwaasa heads Shogakukan's Gagaga Bunko department as the deputy editor-in-chief. He oversees titles such as A Salad Bowl of Eccentrics, Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki, and Chitose-kun is in the Ramune Bottle, along with Too Many Losing Heroines!

Otakon 2025 is scheduled for August 8-10 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. The event will also host voice actors Nobutoshi Canna and Ryōko Shiraishi.

Last year's event took place in August 2024 and reached 46,000 attendants, setting a new record.
