posted on by Anita Tai
The staff for Unreal -Fujōri Zakkaten-, the live-action television series of Kei Yodaka and Shuu Katayama's Fujōri Zakkaten Unreal (Absurd Variety Shop Unreal) manga, announced more cast members and its theme song in a new trailer on Friday.
The trailer previews the theme song "EVIL" by rap artist Hilcrhyme.

The cast includes (in first row, left to right):
- Reina Kurosaki as idol Rinto Akabane from Yagio and Munechika's hometown
- Kōhei Ōtomo as Haruchika Hamaya, Munechika's grandfather
- Junsei Motojima as Masaya Negishi, an idol fan
- Hideo Ishiguro as Takayuki Miura, a customer dealing with "female trouble" at work
- Daiki Katō as Yoshihiko Akasaka, a city council member
- Masatoshi Shin as Asa Mizumoto, Munechika's classmate

Toshiyuki Someya plays Yagio, while Eito Konishi plays Muneya 'Munechika" Hamaie. The pair will play the roles in both the television series and the stage play. The stage play will depict stories that will not be shown in the television series, and will also be set after the series' story.
The TV series will premiere on TV Osaka and TV Aichi on October 13, and on BS TV Tokyo on October 16.
The manga centers on an unusual variety shop that sells people's "thoughts." Customers that come by have their lives changed greatly by the shop's strange products. The shop's owner Yagio looks upon what happens in the store with cold, unfeeling eyes. Muneya Hamaie, a high school boy who works at a nearby cafe, looks out for Yagio's well-being.
Hajime Hashimoto is directing the television series, with scripts by Natsume Karasumaru.
Yodaka and Katayama launched the manga in Shinshokan's Wings magazine in June 2022. Shinshokan will publish the manga's fourth compiled book volume on September 25.
Katayama's Gakuen Benriya manga inspired the Antique Heart OVA in 1988, while her Dragon Heart manga inspired a 1991 OVA.
