Netflix to Produce 30 'New' Anime Series for 2018 Release

News website The Verge revealed on Monday that Netflix plans to produce 30 "new" anime series for release in 2018, as part of its US$8 billion budget for developing and producing original television and film content next year. The company aims for 50% original content in its entire library by the end of 2018.

The anime arriving on Netflix in 2018 include Kyoto Animation's Violet Evergarden, BONES' A.I.C.O. -Incarnation-, DLE Inc.'s Sword Gai: The Animation, Production I.G's B: The Beginning, Liden Films' Lost Song, MAPPA's Kakegurui, Science SARU's Devilman Crybaby, TMS Entertainment's Baki, Satelight's Cannon Busters, Dwarf Studio's (Domo) Rilakkuma, and Toei Animation's Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya.
