A new Twitter account launched on Monday for Ga-Rei: Zero, a supernatural action anime series that is approaching its 10th anniversary. The Twitter account was launched in direct response to the upcoming milestone. The account's inaugural tweet shows the series' main characters Yomi and Kagura embracing and laughing.
Accompanying the picture is a message that the series will celebrate its 10th anniversary next year. There's no further details on what plans might be in store for the show, whether it's a new home video release or something more.
Crunchyroll added the series to its streaming catalog in July. Funimation currently holds the North American license to the series and released it in a Blu-ray and DVD S.A.V.E. edition combo pack last year. The story follows two teen exorcists who are part of an elite counterattack unit that specializes in suppressing outbreaks of supernatural activity. Things take a turn for the worst when one of the sisters is possessed by an evil spirit and the other must choose between slaying her comrade or allowing her to kill innocents.
