Voice actress Mami Kingetsu (GunXSword's Elena) and Megpoid Vocaloid voice synthesis mascot girl Gumi are teamed up to sing an original song for a promotional video for Akashi city in Hyogo prefecture. The song, "Akashi no A-Ka-Shi" premiered in the short video of the same name at the opening of this year's Tourism Expo at Tokyo Big Sight on Thursday.

Akashi city was founded 88 years ago, in 1919, although its history is much older. The promotional music video shows off some of the city's highlights, like the Akashi Castle, Akashi Municipal Planetarium, Akashi Kaikyō Bridge, its Uontana ("fish shelf") shopping streets, the Sumiyoshi Grand Shrine, the coastline and local breweries.

The music video also features Akashi Breakers, a cultural street dance team from Hyogo prefecture. The group placed third at the VIBE Dance Competition in Los Angeles in 2014.

Kingetsu is a native from Akashi. Besides voicing Elena in GunXSword, she's also known for her role as Shiori Fujisaki in in the original Tokimeki Memorial simulation game.
