Little Witch Academia ED Director Masanobu Hiraoka Makes PlayStation 4 Lineup Music Video

Animator Masanobu Hiraoka directed and animated the PlayStation 4 game lineup music video released on Monday. The video is set to the song "Yume no naka e" (Into a Dream) by Yōsui Inoue and covered by suis from the musical group Yorushika.

The nearly five-minute music video introduces 21 games for the console broken up by animated segements of a girl riding her moped against a blue sky. She eventually finds herself in the different video game worlds, trading her moped for a Chocobo and a Survey Corps' steed.

Hiroaka has attracted attention as an up-and-coming animator. His stop-motion animated short "Land" screened at Los Angeles' 10th annual REDCAT International Children's Film Festival in 2015. His Japanese- and French-produced music video for Ez3Kiel's "L'Œil du cyclone" song screened in competition in the Commissioned Films category at the 40th Annecy International Animation Film Festival in 2016. He then followed up by directing the ending sequence for Trigger's Little Witch Academia television anime the following year. This year Hiroaka was credited as a key animator for Shinichiro Watanabe and Flying Lotus' animated music video "more" and the second ending sequence for the Dororo television anime.
