The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. Creator Shūichi Asō Marries Dempagumi Inc. Idol Mirin Furukawa

Dempagumi.inc. idol Mirin Furukawa announced that she tied the knot with The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. manga creator Shūichi Asō. Furukawa made the announcement during the encore of the idol group's "UHHA! YAAA!! TOUR!!! 2019 SPECIAL" concert at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo on Wednesday. Following the concert, Furukawa and Asō shared statements on the marriage.
Aso drew a picture of his wife with a Saiki K. plushie on Twitter. The tweet included the message "This time I'd like to announce that I decided to marry Mirin Furukawa of Dempagumi.inc. I will do my best to draw even more fun manga in the future."

Dempagumi.inc. has provided theme songs for anime adaptations of Asō's manga series. The group performed the opening track "Sai Psi Sai Kōchō!" and the ending song "Psi desu I LIKE YOU" for the anime's first season and the ending theme "Psihakkenden" for the second season. The idol group's April 2018 single "Oyasumi Polaris Sayonara Parallel World/Girametas Dempa Stars" included jacket artwork by Asō.
