Bad Girl Anime's Main Promo Video Reveals July 5 Debut, Opening Theme

King Amusement Creative began streaming the main promotional video on Friday for the television anime of Nikumaru's Bad Girl manga. The video reveals the show's July 5 debut, and also reveals and previews the opening theme song "Super Big Love!" by Tenrogun.
The anime will debut on streaming services such as Amazon Prime Video, DMM TV, ABEMA, and many others on July 5 at 24:00 (effectively July 6 at 12:00 a.m.). The anime will then premiere on television on both Tokyo MX and BS11 on July 5 at 25:00 (effectively July 6 at 1:00 a.m.). The anime will also air on RCC Chugoku Broadcasting, HTB Hokkaido TV, and AT-X.
The anime's staff also revealed on Monday that Yui Horie will voice Maria Komari.
The series will star:
- Azusa Tachibana as Yū Yutani
- Niina Hanamiya as Atori Mizutori
- Misato Matsuoka as Suzu Suzukaze
- Miharu Hanai as Rura Ruriha
- Kaori Maeda as Mizuka Mizutori
- Lynn as Kiyoraka Sumiki
The school comedy follows Yū Yutani, a first-year high school student who is a good girl. However, to attract the attention of the school's disciplinary committee chairman and "madonna" Atori Mizutori, she begins to act like a delinquent.
Takeshi Furuta (2021 Shaman King) is directing the series at Bridge. Shoji Yonemura (Pokémon, Fairy Tail) is handling the series composition. Yūki Morimoto (Miss Monochrome) is designing the characters. Arisa Okehazama (Jujutsu Kaisen, The Apothecary Diaries) is composing the music.
Nikumaru debuted the four-panel manga in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Carat in December 2020. Houbunsha published the manga's fourth compiled book volume in July 2024.
