Tapas, Kickstarter Launch 'Daydreaming' Comic Contest With Cash Prizes, Print Collection

Tapas Entertainment is teaming up with Kickstarter to launch a global short comic contest under the theme “Daydreaming.” Submissions are open from June 3 to August 17 via Tapas' Community Platform.
The contest invites storytellers and artists worldwide to submit short comics inspired by the theme. A panel of judges from Tapas and Kickstarter will select the top 5 entries, awarding cash prizes, including US$3,000 for first place. The top 10 finalists will be featured in a limited-edition print collection, which will be showcased in a Kickstarter campaign led by Tapas this October. If funded, finalists will share in the campaign's profits, with no cost or fulfillment duties required.
“We hope the theme ‘Daydreaming’ inspires unique, imaginative stories,” said Isabell Castro, Director of Community at Tapas. “We're excited for finalists to experience the thrill of being part of a Kickstarter campaign with full support from Tapas.”
