Konami to Make Hudson a Wholly Owned Subsidiary
posted on by Egan Loo
The Japanese game developers Konami and Hudson announced on Thursday that the two firms agreed to make Hudson a wholly owned subsidiary of Konami this spring. Hudson has been a partially owned subsidiary of Konami since 2005, and Konami already owns a 54% stake in Hudson. If the planned stock swap goes through, Hudson will be delisted from the JASDAQ stock exchange on March 29.
Konami has been involved in several game-based anime projects such as Tokimeki Memorial, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Zone of Enders. Hudson has also been involved directly or indirectly in game-based anime projects such such as Bomberman Jetters, Diamond Daydreams (Kita e - Diamond Dust Drops), and Master of Epic: The Animation Age.
