Boys-Love Anime DRAMAtical Murder's 2nd Promo Video Previews Songs, Story

Anime to debut on July 6 with GOATBED's songs "Slip on the Pumps," "Bowie Knife"

The official website for the television anime of Nitro+CHiRAL's boys-love adventure game DRAMAtical Murder began streaming the second promotional video on Saturday. The video features the ending theme song "Bowie Knife" and opening theme song "Slip on the Pumps," both by the game's GOATBED.

Text: Midorijima, an island off the southwest coast of Japan.
Text: "Ribstiez." At the island, a turf battle using hand-to hand combat begins.
Text: The game Rhyme starts to become popular. The cyber online game allows players to access a virtual world.
Aoba: Ren. Get me to Delivery Works.
Ren: The east road is blocked off. It would be faster to go through the north terminal.

Kojaku: Yo, Aoba. What are you doing here?

Aoba: Rhyme, huh... That cyber game sure is popular lately.
Mizuki: "Game within the brain" sounds cool and all, but when it all comes down to it, it's all an illusion!
Aoba: Spirited away, huh... Also, I'm...
Man: This is the Rhyme battle field. It's coming!
Rabbit: Fight. Aoba Seragaki.
Aoba: Ren. Set it: Destruction and death.

The website also announced that the anime will premiere on TV Tokyo on July 6. The CD single for the theme songs will go on sale on August 20.

The game's story centers on a young man named Aoba who lives with his grandmother on the island Midorijima. He works at a junk shop in the island's Former Residents District after Toue builds the Platinum Jail resort on part of Midorijima and forces residents to move. Aoba is content with his simple life but gets pulled into mysterious events unfolding on the island.

Kazuya Miura (animation director or unit director on Macross Frontier: Sayonara no Tsubasa, Silent Möbius, Kindaichi Shounen no Jiken) is directing the anime at the studio NAZ. Touko Machida (Allison & Lillia, The IDOLM@STER, Hamatora, Karneval, Lucky Star) and the game's Kabura Fuchii (togainu no chi) of Nitroplus are in charge of the series scripts. Yukiko Ban (Brave10, .hack//SIGN, Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi) is adapting the original character designs by honyalala of Nitroplus for animation. Yuuki Hayashi (Blood Lad, Diabolik Lovers, Gundam Build Fighters, Robotics;Notes, Soul Eater Not!) is composing the music, and the rock band GOATBED is contributing the opening theme song "Slip on the Pumps" after working on the game.

Nitro+CHiRAL released the original boys-love game for Windows PC in March 2012. It also released a DRAMAtical Murder re:connect game that continues the story last year. A PS Vita version of the first game is slated for this fall.
