Series to premiere October 16

Crunchyroll announced on Thursday that it will stream the original television anime Yuki Yuna wa Yusha de Aru. The series will premiere on October 16 at 2:19 p.m. EDT for premium members, and free uses will be able to watch one week later. The stream will be available worldwide outside of Asia.

The series stars Haruka Terui as Yūki Yūna, Yumi Uchiyama as Fu Inubozaki, Tomoyo Kurosawa as Itsuki Inubozaki, and Suzuko Mimori as Mimori Tōgo. The four voice actresses will perform the opening theme "Hoshi to Hana" (Stars & Flowers), as well as the ending theme "Aurora Days."

Seiji Kishi (Persona 4 the Animation, Danganronpa the Animation) is directing the series based on an original plan by Takahiro (Akame ga Kill!) at Studio Gokumi. Makoto Uezu is handling series composition and BUNBUN is designing the characters.

The story takes place in the era of the gods, year 300. Yūna Yūki lives an ordinary life as a second year middle school student, but she's also a member of the "Hero Club," where club activities involve dealing with a mysterious being called "Vertex."
