The official website for the television anime of Akamitsu Awamura's Seiken Tsukai no World Break (Aria of Curse for a Holy Swordsman) light novel series began streaming a promotional video on Monday. The trailer introduces the characters. It also previews the ending theme "Magna Idea" sung by Fortuna (a group composed of the anime's voice actresses Yui Ogura, Maaya Uchida, Ayana Taketatsu, and Aoi Yūki) and the opening theme "Hi no Ito Rinne no Gemini" by petit milady.

The website also announced new cast members on Monday:

The previously announced cast includes:

Kaito Ishikawa as Moroha Haimura

Ayana Taketatsu as Satsuki Ranjō

Aoi Yūki as Shizuno Urushibara

Yui Ogura as Maya Shimon

Maaya Uchida as Haruka Momochi

The anime will premiere on January 11.

Akamitsu Awamura's "campus sword & sorcery" light novel series is set in a private high school that brings together "saviors," youths with awakened memories from past lives. Some of them are Shirogane who fight enemies with weapons and techniques gleaned from the Puraana powers from their own bodies. Others are Kuroma who wipe out enemies, with magic to manipulate the Maana powers that surpass physics. A boy named Moroha Haimura enrolls in this school. He is the first person in history with past lives of both Shirogane and Kuroma.

Takayuki Inagaki is directing the anime at diomedéa (Gingitsune , My mental choices are completely interfering with my school romantic comedy) with Masakazu Ishikawa (Campione! , Kodomo no Jikan) adapting refeia 's original character designs for the series. Hiroshi Yamaguchi (Gingitsune, Comic ) is in charge of the series scripts.

SoftBank Creative's GA Bunko imprint launched the light novel series in 2012 with illustrations by refeia (Koiken! ~ Watashi-tachi Anime ni Natchatta! ~ ). A manga adaptation will run in Kadokawa's Monthly Comp Ace magazine.
