Re-Kan! Horror Comedy Anime's Promo Video Previews Theme Song
posted on by Egan Loo
The official website for the television anime for Hinako Seta's four-panel manga Re-Kan! began streaming a promotional video on Saturday. The video features the opening theme song "Colorful Story" by the group every♥ing!, a voice actress duo.
Hibiki: This is the story of ties between humans and spirits that meet on multiple occasions that's a bit strange, a bit sad, and a bit kind.
Narumi: OK, I'm going to make this clear today! I don't care if you have a sixth sense or something, but are you stupid!?
Text: A heartwarming anime revolving around a girl with a sixth sense who is kind to spirits and humans.
Hibiki: Please watch, OK?
The manga centers around Hibiki Amami, a girl who can see ghosts and other supernatural phenomena in her surroundings. The stories follow her daily life with both her friends and the otherworldly.

Ibuki Kido (Tokyo ESP's Rinka) as Hibiki Amami, the polite, low key, and slightly air-headed main character. She is also a yamato nadeshiko (a woman who displays traditional Japanese feminine virtues). Although she has the ability to sense the supernatural, she is always worrying about what's around her rather than worrying about herself.
Miku Itō (Locodol's Nanako Usami) as Narumi Inoue, Amami's classmate. She hates ghosts and scary stories and often picks fights with Amami. She's a grandma's girl.
Riho Iida (Love Live! School idol project's Rin) as Kana Uehara, a girl whose blog is #1 on the occult blog ranking. She's very curious about Amami's ability.
M.A.O (Gonna be the Twin-Tail!!'s Mikoto) as Kyōko Esumi, Uehara's childhood friend. She's a reformed delinquent but she still has a rough personality. On the inside she's very compassionate and can't turn her back on anyone in trouble.
Erii Yamazaki (World Conquest Zvezda Plot's Roboko) as Makoto Ogawa, a person with a bright personality who is also a bit of an airhead. A girl... maybe.
Yoshitaka Yamaya as Kenta Yamada
Yoshihisa Kawahara as Daihen-zamurai
Mikako Izawa as Hanako-san
Kujira as Ero-neko
Eriko Matsui as Merry-san
Aya Uchida as Kogal Spirit
Futaba Kino as Faceless Spirit
The official website for the anime also began streaming a promotional video last December during Comic Market 87.
The group every♥ing!, which consists of Ibuki Kido and Erii Yamazaki (who voice main characters in the show), will provide the opening and ending themes. The opening theme is titled "Colorful Story," and the ending theme is titled "Kesaran Pasaran." The single containing the two themes will be released on May 13, along with an as-yet untitled theme for the Bokosuka Girls: Tatsunoko Gakuen Climax PS Vita game, and a DVD that contains the music video to "Colorful Story."
The anime will premiere on April 2.
Seta started the manga as a one-shot story in Manga Time Jumbo in 2009, and then turned it into a regular series in 2010. Houbunsha published the fourth compiled book volume in October 2013.
