More Re-Kan! Cast, Theme Song Artists Announced

Yoshihisa Kawahara, Mikako Izawa, more announced, every♥ing to sing theme songs

The second round of cast announcements for the television anime adaptation for Hinako Seta's four-panel manga Re-Kan! was announced on Tuesday.

The additional cast includes:

Yoshihisa Kawahara as Daihen-zamurai

Mikako Izawa as Hanako-san

Kujira as Ero-neko

Eriko Matsui as Merry-san

Aya Uchida as Kogal Spirit

Futaba Kino as Faceless Spirit

The group every♥ing!, which consists of Ibuki Kido and Erii Yamazaki (who voice main characters in the show), will provide the opening and ending themes. The opening theme is titled "Colorful Story," and the ending theme is titled "Kesaran Pasaran." The single containing the two themes will be released on May 13, along with an as-yet untitled theme for the Bokosuka Girls: Tatsunoko Gakuen Climax PS Vita game, and a DVD that contains the music video to "Colorful Story."

In addition, the official website to the series announced a special viewing of the anime's first episode, and a talk show with the main cast. The event will be held on March 14 on the No. 10 screen of United Cinema Toyosu, 2:00 p.m. The main cast members (Ibuki Kido, Miku Itō, Riho Iida, M.A.O, and Erii Yamazaki) will attend.

The main cast members were announced last December:

Ibuki Kido (Tokyo ESP's Rinka) as Hibiki Amami, the polite, low key, and slightly air-headed main character. She is also a yamato nadeshiko (a woman who displays traditional Japanese feminine virtues). Although she has the ability to sense the supernatural, she is always worrying about what's around her rather than worrying about herself.

Miku Itō (Locodol's Nanako Usami) as Narumi Inōe, Amami's classmate. She hates ghosts and scary stories and often picks fights with Amami. She's a grandma's girl.

Riho Iida (Love Live! School idol project's Rin) as Kana Uehara, a girl whose blog is #1 on the occult blog ranking. She's very curious about Amami's ability.

M.A.O (Gonna be the Twin-Tail!!'s Mikoto) as Kyōko Esumi, Uehara's childhood friend. She's a reformed delinquent but she still has a rough personality. On the inside she's very compassionate and can't turn her back on anyone in trouble.

Erii Yamazaki (World Conquest Zvezda Plot's Roboko) as Makoto Ogawa, a person with a bright personality who is also a bit of an airhead. A girl... maybe.

The official website for the anime also began streaming a promotional video last December during Comic Market 87.

Seta started the manga as a one-shot story in Manga Time Jumbo in 2009, and then turned it into a regular series in 2010. Houbunsha published the fourth compiled book volume in October 2013.

The anime will premiere this spring.
