P.A. Works Reveals Kuromukuro 15th Anniversary TV Anime Project

Darker than Black's Tensai Okamura helms 2016 series starring M.A.O, Yōhei Azakami

P.A. Works launched a website on Monday to reveal its 15th anniversary project, the Kuromukuro original TV anime series. The "mecha action" anime will air in 2016. The website is also streaming the anime's first promotional video (the video on the website is region-locked to Japan).

Tensai Okamura (Darker than Black, Blue Exorcist, Wolf's Rain, The Seven Deadly Sins) is directing the anime at P.A. Works. Ryou Higaki (Another, Moribito - Guardian of the Spirit) is handling the series composition, and Yuriko Ishii (Another, A Lull in the Sea) is designing the characters.

The show will star:

  • Yōhei Azakami (Gakkatsu!'s Hiroshi-kun) as Ōma Kennosuke Tokisada
  • M.A.O (School-Live!'s Yūri, Digimon Adventure tri.'s Hikari Yagami) as Yukina Shirahane
  • Reina Ueda (Dimension W's Mira Yurisaki, Anti-Magic Academy: The 35th Test Platoon's Ōka Ōtori) as Sophie Noelle
