Live-Action Dansui! TV Series' Promo Video Previews Cast's Ending Theme

Series about high school men's swimming club premieres on Saturday

VAP's official website for the live-action television series and stage play adaptations of Tatsuya Kiuchi's Dansui! swimming manga began streaming a promotional video on Friday. The video previews the Blu-ray Disc, DVD, and CD releases and features the ten main cast members' ending theme song "Growing Up! Go on!" for the television series.

"Growing Up! Go on!" will debut on Japanese music distribution websites on Sunday. The We are swimmers ~Dansui! Character Songs & Original Soundtrack~ CD will ship on February 22. The first Blu-ray Disc and DVD releases will include the first three episodes and ship on March 1. The home video releases will include a ticket with a serial number to enter an advance ticket lottery for the stage play.

Both adaptations star:

  • Top row (from left to right): Ryō Matsuda as Shuhei Sakaki, Shūto Miyazaki as DAIKI Shinoduka, Shintarō Anzai as Leo Fujikawa
  • Middle row: Tomoru Akazawa as Haruyoshi Koganei, Hisanori Satō as Yuta Taki, Ren Ozawa as Mitsuki Taira
  • Bottom row: Mario Kuroba as Homare Nishina, Ryōsuke Ikeoka as Ichitora Jingu, Tomoki Hirose as Ryoya Kawasaki

The cast also includes:

  • Keisuke Kaminaga as Daniel Harada
  • Kyōhei Saitō as Masaki Ichimura
  • Yūdai Nasuda as Eisuke Murakami
  • Hisanao Tsukayama as Ichirō Takaura
  • Keisuke Sakurai as Jirō Takaura
  • Kaisei Kamimura as Shintarō Mori
  • Ryūichi Ōura as Shinichirō Hanyū
  • Moro Morooka as Kunio Isomura

The television series will premiere on NTV on Saturday. Yōichi Matsunaga (CRAZY, Do-S Deka, Debusen) is directing the series, and Erika Yoshida (Tiger & Bunny, Trickster, Heroine Shikkaku) is writing the scripts.

The stage play will run at Tokyo's Theatre 1010 from May 11 to May 21 and at Osaka's Morinomiya Piloti Hall from May 25 to May 28.

Kiuchi launched the manga on Hakusensha's "Hana LaLa online" website in July 2012, and Hakusensha published the manga's sixth volume in print on December 20. The youth manga follows the members of a men's swimming club at a high school in Tokyo.
