The official website for the television anime of Nekoume's four-panel romantic comedy manga Miss caretaker of Sunohara-sou (Sunohara-Sō no Kanrinin-san) began streaming a new promotional video for the anime on Friday. The video reveals the anime's staff. The site also unveiled a new visual for the anime.
Shin Oonuma (ef: a tale of memories, Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, Kokoro Connect) is the anime's chief director. Mirai Minato (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, Masamune-kun's Revenge) is directing the anime at SILVER LINK (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, Brave Witches), with Keisuke Inoue (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya setting production, Masamune-kun's Revenge episode director) as assistant director. Fumihiko Shimo (The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, Kokoro Connect, New Game!) is in charge of series composition. Kazuya Hirata (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 3rei!!, Gekijōban Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya: Sekka no Chikai) is drawing the character designs. Ruka Kawada (If Her Flag Breaks, Is the order a rabbit?) is composing the music. Flying Dog is in charge of music production.
The anime will premiere this summer.
The cast includes:
Eri Kitamura as Aki Shiina
Ayane Sakura as Sunohara's little sister Nana
Satou and Kitamura also starred in those same roles in the drama CD bundled with the second manga volume, and Sakura joined them in the promotional video that announced the television anime in November. (Sakura was not in the drama CD, which predates her character's introduction in the third manga volume.)
The Twitter account is held a poll from December 28 to December 31 to decide which Ayaka Sunohara art by Nekoume to turn into a life-size figure:
The manga centers around Aki Shiina, a middle school boy who wants to be more manly. The story follows the relationships between Aki Shiina and Ayaka Sunohara (the maternal caretaker of the Sunohara dormitory), as well as Aki's older female schoolmates.
Nekoume launched the manga in Ichijinsha's Manga 4-Koma Palette magazine in 2014, and the drama CD shipped with the manga's second compiled book volume in July 2016. Ichijinsha published the manga's third volume last November.
