Marvelous Europe announced on Thursday that it will release the brawler action game UPPERS for PlayStation 4 and PC this year. The game will have text localized in English, French, Japanese, Korean, and Traditional and Simplified Chinese.

The Western version of the game will be fully remastered in 1080p and 60fps, with native support for higher resolutions.

The game shipped in Japan for PlayStation Vita in July 2016 after a delay.

Marvelous Europe describes the game:

Set on the otherwise deserted island of Last Resort, Uppers puts you in control of up to 13 characters in perpetual combat against battle hungry bandits who freely stalk the island looking for trouble, accompanied by a harem of thrill seeking girls determined to see their beaus as the victor. Follow the story of two men and their journey to the top – discover their drive, their heartbreaking backgrounds, and fight to be the strongest on Last Resort Island.

Knock Out Monkey performed the game's theme song "Oh, No."

The game's producer Kenichirō Takaki (Senran Kagura) posted on his English Twitter in 2016 that he wanted to launch a localized version of the game outside of Japan.
