BeyWheelz premieres on Saturday

Philippine broadcaster ABS-CBN's Yey! channel announced with commercials on Saturday that it will air the One-Punch Man anime in November, and the Beyblade: BeyWheelz anime beginning on Saturday, November 3 at 1:00 p.m.

One-Punch Man's story revolves around the titular super hero who has trained so hard that his hair has fallen out, and who can overcome any enemy with one punch. However, because he is so strong, he has become bored and frustrated with winning all his battles so easily.

The 12-episode series premiered in Japan in October 2015. Animax Asia aired the anime in Southeast Asia in September 2016, and the now-defunct Daisuki streaming service also offered the anime in selected Asian countries.

A second anime season will premiere in April 2019.

The manga series began as a web manga written and drawn by ONE in 2009. Yūsuke Murata began publishing a redrawn version of the manga in 2012. Both manga are running concurrently.

Shingo Natsume (Space Dandy, Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos) directed the anime at Madhouse (Summer Wars, Hunter x Hunter), and Tomohiro Suzuki (Tiger & Bunny scripts, Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary) was in charge of the series scripts. Makoto Miyazaki (Dragon Crisis!, Triage X) composed the music. Chikashi Kubota (From the New World, Robotics;Notes) served as both character designer and chief animation director. Shigemi Ikeda and Yukiko Maruyama were the art directors, and Ken Hashimoto was the color key artist. Akane Fushihara was the director of photography, while Kashiko Kimura edited. Shōji Hata directed the sound.

Crunchyroll streams Beyblade: BeyWheelz, and it describes the anime:

BeyWheelz is set in the futuristic city of Destection where our hero, Sho, is champion of the BeyWheelz World Tournament! This peaceful city is home to exciting and challenging battles between friends and allies until suddenly the city is attacked by an evil BeyWheelz army called the Dominators who want control over all of the BeyWheelz in the world. With the future and freedom of BeyWheelz at stake, Sho and his friends take on the Dominators' strongest fighters in an epic battle of good vs. evil.

The anime premiered in 2012, and is a spinoff of the Beyblade series. Naoki Hishikawa directed the anime at Synergy SP, and Katsumi Hasegawa and Masashi Kubota penned the scripts. Yoshihiro Nagamori designed the characters.

Toonami Asia previously aired the show in Southeast Asia.
