Manga launched in 2003, inspired TV anime in 2007

The June issue of Mag Garden's Monthly Comic Garden magazine revealed on Thursday that Totan Kobako's Sketchbook manga will end in the magazine's July issue on June 5. The manga will also feature on the July issue's cover.

Kobako launched the manga in Mag Garden's Comic Blade magazine in 2003. The manga switched to Monthly Comic Garden when Comic Blade ceased publication in 2014. Mag Garden published the manga's 13th compiled volume in July 2018.

Crunchyroll describes the manga's anime adaptation:

No matter where she goes, Sora takes her sketchbook along. The world is full of mysterious and beautiful things, after all, and Sora doesn't want to miss a single one. The best way she knows to capture each moment is by drawing and sketching, watching and learning. However, though Sora is full of wonder, she's also incredibly shy. She doesn't have many friends, except for her fellow classmates in the Art Club. But even though they all seem to be slightly crazy (the teacher included), each of them adds another bright color to Sora's world.

Hal Film Maker adapted the manga into a 13-episode anime series, titled Sketchbook ~full color'S~, in 2007. Right Stuf's Nozomi Entertainment licensed the series for North America and released it on DVD in 2015. Crunchyroll began streaming the series in 2016.
