PVR-Inox Multiplex Chain to Open 40 More Screens by April 2023

Entertainment news website Variety reported on Saturday that the PVR Group and Inox Leisure have finalized their merger after gaining approval from the National Company Law Tribunal. PVR-INOX will open 40 more screens across India by the end of March 2023.
PVR Group and Inox Leisure announced their merger to form the largest multiplex chain in India in April 2022.
The PVR Group currently has approximately 900 screens across 78 cities and Inox has around 722 screens across 74 cities. The company currently owns 16-17% of total screens in India and 44%-50% of multiplex screens.
PVR Pictures, the production and distribution section of PVR Cinemas, has recently released content such as the Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- Aria of a Starless Night anime film and the Kimetsu Orchestra Concert in Indian theaters. PVR Cinemas' Facebook page recently confirmed Makoto Shinkai's Suzume (Suzume no Tojimari) film for a theatrical release in India.
