Idol group timelesz member Sō Matsushima (adult right in image above) stars in the series as Akira Sengoku, while Jin Shirasu (adult left) stars as Masahiro Harumi. Nono Tanahashi plays Sengoku's daughter Airi (child right), while Sakura (child left) plays Jin's son Seiichirō.

Takuma Satō and Naomi Kinoshita are directing the series, with scripts by Ureha Shimada and Tatsuya Yamanishi.

The manga's story centers on chiropractor Sengoku, who is suddenly entrusted by his ex-girlfriend with their child. He asks help from his friend Harumi, a manga editor who is also a single father of a son. The story follows their daily struggles as they begin living together with their children.

Toyota launched the manga in Shinchosha's Monthly Comic @Bunch (later simply Monthly Comic Bunch) magazine in April 2014, and ended it in July 2020. Shinchosha published the manga's 13th and final volume in October 2020.

Mangamo, Comikey, and Manga Planet published the manga in English digitally, but the manga is no longer available on those services.

Toyota launched the Papa to Oyaji no Uchi Nomi spinoff manga in Shinchosha's Go Go Bunch magazine in April 2016, but transferred it to Shinchosha's Comic @Bunch Web (later Kurage Bunch) website when Go Go Bunch ceased publication in February 2018. The manga ended in July 2021. Shinchosha published three volumes for the manga.

Toyota's Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! (30-sai Dōtei da to Mahō Tsukai ni Nareru Rashii) manga began serialization on pixiv's Gangan pixiv service in 2018.

The manga inspired a Japanese live-action television series that premiered on TV Tokyo in October 2020. Crunchyroll began streaming the series outside Japan in December 2020. The television series itself inspired a two-episode net spinoff that debuted on the Tsutaya Premium streaming service in December 2020. The series received a live-action film sequel that opened in Japan in April 2022.

A television anime adaptation debuted in January 2024. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired, and is also streaming an English dub. A special edited compilation of the anime screened in theaters starting on December 13.
