DLC includes Mega Man, Proto Man, Dr. Wiley's Castle stage

Sega announced during Sony's State of Play livestream on Wednesday its Sonic Racing CrossWorlds game will get a collaboration with CAPCOM's Mega Man series. The DLC Pack includes Mega Man and Proto Man as playable characters, and Dr. Wiley's Castle as a stage, and will launch in 2026.

Season Pass holders and digital deluxe edition owners will have access to the DLC.

Sonic Racing CrossWorlds will feature guests from other Sega franchises including Hatsune Miku, Like a Dragon's Ichiban, and Persona 5's Joker. The Minecraft franchise will also appear in the game. The game will also have a crossover with the following Nickelodeon animated series: SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Avatar: The Last Airbender. The game is also collaborating with Bandai Namco for a DLC pack including Pac-Man, Ghosts, and Pac-Village that launches for the game in early 2026.

Sega released the game on September 25 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The game will also have a Nintendo Switch 2 release digitally in holiday 2025 and physically in early 2026 with the full game on the cartridge. There will be a Switch 2 upgrade pack for owners of the Switch version, and progress will carry over.

An animation project for the game debuted last month.

Sega released the Team Sonic Racing game in May 2021 physically and digitally for PS4, Xbox One, and Switch (with a digital-only release on PC).
