Your Chance to See The Hayao Miyazaki's first feature Film You Probably Haven't Heard Of

by Fathom Events (Paid Advertisement),

Hayao Miyazaki is one of the most easily recognizable names in not just Japanese animation, but animation in general. His films range from Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro and Kiki's Delivery Service to Ponyo and Howl's Moving Castle. Before all of these films, though, he directed a movie starring the beloved master thief created by manga artist Monkey Punch, Lupin the 3rd.

This film is LUPIN THE 3RD: THE CASTLE OF CAGLIOSTRO, and marks the feature directorial debut of Miyazaki. Made in 1979, the film follows Lupin and his compatriots Goemon and Jigen, as Lupin pulls off a huge, successful bank robbery. Just when he thinks he's hit the jackpot, he finds that the bills are counterfeits, and good counterfeits at that. He looks to the only possible source of the bills - the nefarious Count of Cagliostro, and has to decide between pulling off the perfect heist, or saving the Princess that the Count is forcing into marriage. What will he choose? Find out in theaters this September 14th (dub) and 19th (sub), tickets available NOW at fathomevents.com.
