Show continues to be pretty consistently hilarious. Megumin is best girl.

Ep 04
That was a great set up for a gag about "who the hell keeps blowing up my castle?!?!"

Episode 4
I knew that the general was in the castle, but did not expect the culmination would be an emotionally upset Dullahan. He was stuck with chivalry into not being able to just slaughter weak people, so he sets up a big plot only for Aqua to anticlimactically solve it in seconds after a speech from Kazuma and Megumin. He will probably wait a week preparing the castle to fight them and come back to find that they solved it straight away.
"You're bothering that Dullahan guy!"
That was just funny that it was not case about worrying about her but that she was bothering the evil general. The reaction of the Dullahan had me laughing. Also, by the sounds of it, Darkness is largely the daughter of a rich family and her armour is largely for decorative purposes, a little bit off being noble.
Well it seems Kazuma and Megumin have become friendly, nice that he gets along with her more after a bit of a skip such as with Aqua in the first episode. And he was kind of brought into Megumin's club of loving explosion. Also Aqua was begging him to pay off her tab bill and had to resort to blackmailing to further lower his reputation.

The moment she suggested blowing up the abandoned castle I knew it wasn't abandoned. But after all that bombardment, she didn't seem to have damaged it much at all.
And for all that Kazuma rags on Aqua about her party tricks, what does he choose to pick up for a new skill? Her water shooting party trick! ::headdesk::

Well he did see how useful it was when everyone was thirsty after fighting the cabbages. Plus, she wouldn't teach him healing.

I assume his plan is that it can be levelled up or something until it is useful. Although it seems somewhat redundant when Aqua is a water goddess and thus should specialise in that element. I imagine fire might have more uses if he plans to leave the town, and fire is cooler.

Different skills. The create water thing he picked up is sort of like the lowest level water elemental magic. That's why he mentions in the episode about playing the role of a sort of spellsword kind of fighter. Her party tricks are...something else? I don't even know if the tricks are magic or not actually.

^ Doesn't matter the source, the effect is the same (and hers is still better, since she can shoot water from several places at once! Tada!). It's like ragging on someone for wearing spangles and then dousing yourself in glitter. I just thought his hypocrisy was amusing.

I don't think it was hypocrisy so much as he realized it was an available skill and picked it up just in case.
Water is an absolute necessity but is heavy to carry. I can see where the ability to provide water to drink in a dungeon or other dry place would be invaluable. Not much use in a fight though.

Then he shouldn't be on her case for producing it being a useless skill.

Like I said, it is not much use in a fight. When he was yelling at her it was the only skill she could produce. In fact, her ability to lift a curse is much more impressive but she didn't mention that. I suspect Aqua will continue to pop out useful abilities in time of need that neither she nor they knew they would need.
I thought it funny at the very end when she was apparently reporting or praying to someone and asked to be able to go back. Trying to sneak out.

episode four
My favorite so far. Darkness really is proving her worth already. Kazuma responding "Yes, that's my name" when she kept calling him by name, for no particular reason, during the Dullahan conversation was a fun little detail too - I couldn't really hear him over her, if it weren't for the subtitles I would have missed it.
It's nice to see the show's theme of turning the fantastic into something mundane extended so successfully to the first of the Devil King's henchmen that we meet. Also nice to see Aqua being useful.

Episode 5:
Nice episode, the fight was priceless to watch as Kazuma wiped the floor with that Kyouya guy. Plus, we got Aqua stuck in a cage with alligators who were able to devour her. Poor Goddess.
The falcon punch was awesome. Too bad I wanted to see an explosive spell this episode. Maybe we'll get more of that next time.

Ep 5
The alligators, this is a reminder of how a game can send you on a "simple quest" and suddenly you are endlessly fighting tough trash mobs just to do a "Purification ritual".
I enjoy the idea that Kazuma is VERY pragmatic in comparison to this episode's introduced "counterpart" who had chosen an over powered sword as his reincarnation blessing.

That was a pretty funny episode. Lol at her "they're going to sell me" song. I was surprised he actually got the sword instead of the dude's underwear. Or does that mean he doesn't wear any? >.>
