I remember being very pleasantly surprised at how many female characters there are in this tourney myself. Actually since I, (like most people, I think) wasn't familiar with a very large number of the contenders, (71/128 are vaguely familiar) there were instances where I researched a character's description and thought "She's a chick, and she does all that?" COOL!
So I really like that there's a fairly even kearn between female and male contenders. I have a 5-3 ratio of men to women in my final 8, anyway. (Random note: I decided to fill my bracket out according to who I thought should win, like last time. It yielded the same results as predicting other people's moves anyway, and I prefer to vote with my bracket AND feel good about doin so! ) |

With a couple of exceptions, that's what I did too, though in some cases even after researching the characters I still didn't know enough to make a good choice either way. Actually, I don't even remember who I picked to win some matches now, so I might find myself voting against my bracket without realizing it. EDIT:
Ok, here are my pics in jpg format, though you may have already converted them. Sorry I'm late to the picture-posting!
Juna Ariyoshi: http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k174/shikigamideathglare/vlcsnap-90372.jpg http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k174/shikigamideathglare/vlcsnap-12537.jpg http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k174/shikigamideathglare/vlcsnap-237200.jpg (Avatar of Time form) I wasn't sure whether her transformed or untransformed state would be better - I have more pictures of her when she's transformed if necessary. I'll offer a couple of Roy Mustang as well, although he can't be too difficult to find good pictures of http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k174/shikigamideathglare/vlcsnap-299366.jpg http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k174/shikigamideathglare/vlcsnap-461118.jpg Hmm. I didn't have as many in my personal stash as I thought I did. This troubles me. |

The Guide for Group A is now up and available. I didn't have time to do it for this group, but if I can get more ahead of schedule next week then I may try to standardize the pics enough to also include them in the Guide.
If you're reading this then the first round of the tourney has been delayed from its initially scheduled starting time due to some problems I'm having rounding up certain suitable pictures for the first group. Hopefully the delay will not be longer than an hour or two. |

Who do you still need pics for? And aside from being in jpg format and having a good view of the character's face, is there anything else in particular you are looking for in pics? |

So, an entry from nightjuan brings the mini-game participant list to 21.
Key, for the guide, maybe it would be better to have them listed in the order they fall in the brackets. That way people can just scroll down as they vote instead of having to jump all over the page to find the characters they don't know. |

I agree, sort of. It gets a little troublesome sometimes, but then in rounds 2 and 3 you'll have the same problem again, unless Key chops out eliminated contestants.

I agree. With having to look through the guides later in the last tournament having to go 32 contestants in a guide to look up four people became confusing, although they were sorted in alphabetical order. Cutting contestants could be somewhat helpful, but that's just me.

For this time the Guide is set. (Even with all the contributions, we won't get into how long it took to put together as is, as several entries needed to be edited.) I'll consider these suggestions for the Group B Guide, although I am not personally a fan of doing it that way.
Anyway, now that I have the pics set and my minigame entry turned in, the first pairings should go up shortly. |

I also think having them in order of the brackets would make it a lot easier for people who have no clue about most of the characters, because you end up going back and forth to remember what their names are.
And yes, removing the eliminated contestants would also be nice. |
