It's huge. the last time i took physical inventory, it was around 1600. not sure where i'm at now, but i'm sure it's close to 1700 now. All of the series that are still coming out are on my two bookshelves and everything that's finished or gone out of production are houses in comicbook boxes.. I've got about 6 so far with an overflow in the closet of other manga. I need to cool down on purchases...

Not very big yet, though it is rapidly growing lately.

I mean the only series I'm current collecting regulalry are...

20th Century Boys
Pluto
Ikkirigami: The Ultimate Limit
Buddah

and the only series I have complete or incomplete are

Dragonball VIZBIG (complete)
Oldboy (6 volues)
DMC (1 volumes)
Astro Boy (2 volumes)
Black Jack (1 volume)
GTO (1 volume)
Planetes (complete)
Blame! (1 volume)
Read or Die (complete)
Read or Dream (complete)
Gon (2 volumes)
Battle Royal (2 volumes)

So yeah, really not a super ton. Though I'm drowning in comic books and graphic novels.

My manga collection is I think close to 3000 volumes. I just recently moved and my god it took DAYS to pack everything up. It was nice to see some of the older series that had been shoved to the bank of the bookshelves I had. It is so hard to keep an accurate inventory when it is constantly changing.

Does anybody keep an inventory system in a spreadsheet type document? How does that work for you? I have been thinking about it for years but have always been skeptical because of the sheer volume of lines it might be.

Not too large a collection. I've collected all the volumes to Fruits Basket and the two Read or Die manga titles. Plus, I have incomplete sets of Kare Kano, Azumanga Daioh and Ouran Host Club.

I'm more of an anime collector than manga collector.

Out of curiosity (and procrastination on writing Christmas cards), I went and counted my collection. Looks like about 47 series, and 470 manga. The biggest series I have is Naruto (46 volumes), although that should soon be overcome by One Piece, once Viz starts mass releasing in January.

Yeah, I keep track with a spreadsheet (1200+ volumes right now). I update it everytime something changes. Whenever I clean my shelves throroughly, I recheck everything to make sure I didn't miss anything.

My spreadsheet is divided into several categories:
-Dutch editions
-German editions
-English editions
-Other (at the moment that's French and Japanese)

Sample from the English section:

Ever volume gets an individual space to make it easier to keep track of gaps. The series in green are the ones I completed. Volumes in dark blue are manga I ordered, but haven't arrived yet.

I'v e been collectin for almost 20 years; problem is some years ago I stopped and get rid of almost everything, so when I get back to collectin I've started from scratch again. Right now I guess I've something between 900 and 1000 mangas.

Tamaria: your method looks nice, I think I'll copy it, so thank you for the idea ^__^

According ANN I have 150, which is okay but I'm really running out of space so I can't buy anymore for a little while, been collecting for around 3 years now.
I'm proud of my Galaxy Express 999 manga (vol 3 - 5), and Kodocha manga (2 and 3) that I just recently managed to snag online. Two amazing series'.

At the moment, 3166.

You can see the complete list here.

Yes, i'm French and this site is a way to manage his manga and anime collection. It's a convenient tool who avoid to buy twice the same item...

(sorry for my english, my last lessons were a long time ago...)

I also keep a spreadsheet, although my collection is only a tenth of yours. It's not as involved as Tamaria's but it has info such as the number of volumes of each series I have (I try not to buy volumes out of order), whether or not a series is still coming out or if I've caught up to the current release (maybe I should add some release dates), even the number of volumes I have out on loan.

Once you catalogue what you have a spreadsheet becomes alot easier to keep up with--I update mine every month or so unless I have a big shipment coming in. It may take a while for you to get one started, but the organization is worth it.
