My friend actually imported the DS game. It's great... not the greatest but pretty well rounded with a great range of characters. I admit some characters may be a bit broken, you know how the smaller character can go under attacks that will hit others. The best part was the Wi-Fi feature. Playing the cpu eventually gets boring to me. So having the option to play with others around the world is always fun.

Soul Reaper is actually the term I got used to because I read the first volume of the English manga before I watched the series fansubbed. And, it actually makes more sense than "Shinigami" because in truth, they aren't really Death Gods, but actually Soul Reapers.
I can't find the Bleach trailer anywhere on the Adult Swim website. They have the Trinity Blood one, but I guess that's because they released it earlier. As soon as I watch it, I'll make a comment on the dub.

You know us all too well. Hell, I've been advertising September 9th to my friends for the past couple months. Everyday when my friends are either saying, "C'mon, dude, let's watch Naruto" or "Dude, why do they play Pee-wee's Playhouse on Adult Swim?", I reply, "Oh, dude, mark your calender. September 9th is going to be the biggest night in anime on Adult Swim history. They're premering Bleach and Trinity Blood. Bleach is freakin' awesome, so make sure to watch it!"
I advertise Bleach so much that my friend one time came to my house and demanded that I show him an episode of it. After I showed him the first episode, he replied "Dude, throw a party on whenever it airs, and we'll all come and watch Bleach."
So there you have it. On September 9th, I'm having a party with my friends to celebrate the airing of Bleach. I've also advertised it to my dad on accident, and he said "Son, what is this Adult Swim? Are you watching porn or something? If so, I'm going to have to take away that TV of yours! TELL ME NOW! ARE YOU WATCHING PORN?!"
All of this dialogue I've provided is completely true. Every single word.
Also, I plan on importing the PSP game for Bleach. It's known as Heat the Soul 3. I usually don't play video games, and I actually would buy the DS game, but that's what my brother took to college with him. So I'm stuck with the PSP which only collects dust. I guess now there's a reason to use it since I'm getting the Bleach game.

Almost the EXACT same thing happened with my friend who knew nothing of what Bleach was. Actually, a couple of months ago, neither did I  .

my first impressions were it could be worse. after watching a few more times i realize its actually pretty good and i can adapt to it pretty easily. i thought rukia sounded perfect.
i actually have told some of my friends about it, surprisingly i figured out theres alot more hardcore anime fans at my school than i originally thought

You're right. It could be worse. But Johnny Yong Bosch just sounds.... too much like himself. I mean he sounds like he's reading it out of a book kind of with a little tinge to his voice to make it slightly different. I didn't get that "pissed off" feel that I get from the Japanese version. But, eh, he only spoke a little, so it's not enough to give a proper judgement. Rukia's voice sounded good. It could've been better though. I felt it just missed something, but got everything else to emulate the Japanese version.
I'm looking forward to hear Byakuya's voice. I joke around with my brother all the time that they'll make him sound like some stuck-up, British aristocrat. "Hello, welcome. Would you like a spot of tea and crumpets? It's quite delectable, I must say." It would be a fitting voice for him, though.

Yeah i'm sure we'll get tons of these comment soon. People are too worried about how the voice is gonna "emulate" the japanese voices instead of holding its owned weight. The hardcore bleachhead are gonna hate it because they are already used to original
I saw a clip of Fate Night Stay in japanese and it's annoying when they pronounce English name and term. Say-BAA! (Saber) anyone?

You know, from watching the CM, Ichigo and Rukia's voices are pretty good. I knew there would be perfect voice actors for the show.

You miss my point. It's a tinge to his voice that makes him sound pissed off in the Japanese version. I know that he shouldn't be pissed, but I'm talking about an element of the voice that I felt was in the Japanese version of his voice. I wish I could find a clip on youtube of what I'm trying to describe, but there are only crappy AMVs that people made.

The trailer is nothing really special as it only has lines and clips from the first two or three episodes, however, I do think the two main character's voices will work out nicely. They are two of my favorite VAs after all.

Wow, now I know why some people dispise great dubs like Fullmetal Alchemist and Naruto: if such a simple name change can spark so much discussion (I know a lot of you like the change in this case, but that's not my point), I can now imagine how fans can hate the dub just over even just a handful of bad changes!

So then what happened? Did you tell him what is was? If not, just tell him that [adult swim] is a more mature CN block that doesn't acually show porn but shows cartoons for older people (like us) and he'll let you watch it.

There's actually an interesting (maybe) story concerning this.
It seems that the folks at AS are listening somewhat to fans' outcry at their bland advertising of anime, so they did something about it: they advertised "Trinity Blood" over a week before its air date in a commercial that had actually narration and no techno music (for opposite, see "Eureka 7"). According to the AdultSwim.com messageboards, people loved this commercial and the success of the commercial made them post an update on the upcoming "Bleach" commercial. According to the update, the commercial dudes people only have two tapes of "Bleach" from Viz, not enough material to make a decent commercial, which is most likely why the "Bleach" commercial premiered this long after the "Trinity Blood" commercial.
If you ask me, it was worth it. Not only do we get narration, we get narration from the show's lead voice-actors. And having not seen the original Japanese version, I love these voices. I can't wait to see the show when it premieres.

Depending on how true they stay to their English adaptation, I think this one might be up in the air, as they use Zanpakto in the English manga.
