A lot of times, they'll compact the discs for boxsets. Azumanga Daioh boxset is only 5 discs...

It's a thinpack, so I'm guessing they stripped the extras which gave them the extra room.

And good riddance to the always insipid audio commentary of the ADV staff and VAs..

Now all they need to do is remove the dub track too, which could bring it down to 3 or 4 DVDs Anime smile.

Thinpack, extras striped.

Let it looks like the Chrono Crusade Thinpack will be like the EVA platinum thinpack and have the extras left intact. Both are 7 DVDs, and Both are priced at $89.99
