Actually I did take a look at it and refer back to US department of justice Citizen's Guide To U.S. Federal Law On Child Pornography https://www.justice.gov/criminal-ceos/citizens-guide-us-federal-law-child-pornography: Notably, the legal definition of sexually explicit conduct does not require that an image depict a child engaging in sexual activity. A picture of a naked child may constitute illegal child pornography if it is sufficiently sexually suggestive. Additionally, the age of consent for sexual activity in a given state is irrelevant; any depiction of a minor under 18 years of age engaging in sexually explicit conduct is illegal. I'm sure these images http://imgur.com/a/COQc9 are suggestive enough. I'm not an attorney I don't know how to word twist or read between the lines so I take the guide as it is. You can argue they are 2D not real but like I said some countries even written materials (with no images) is considered child porn. I think we way off topic, if you want to talk more about this you can PM me instead. EDIT: Please check US CHILD PORNOGRAPHY LEGISLATION: CHILD PORNOGRAPHY PREVENTION ACT 1996 "any visual depiction, including any photograph, film, video, picture, drawing or computer or computer-generated image or picture, which is produced by electronic, mechanical or other means, of sexually explicit conduct, where: (1) its production involved the use of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct, or; (2) such visual depiction is, or appears to be, of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct; (3) such visual depiction has been created, adapted or modified to appear that an `identifiable minor’ is engaging in sexually explicit conduct; or (4) it is advertised, distributed, promoted or presented in such a manner as to convey the impression that it is a visual depiction of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct." You don't understand what you're reading. Picture here means photo, not drawing. The idea of drawings constituting cp was declared unconstitutional in the US. Drawings may be considered obscene, but that's a completely different argument that depends entirely on community standards, which means your notion of whether drawings are suggestive doesn't matter one whit as far as her purchases go. |

And by photo that means a REAL CHILD. Not a fictional one on paper. Since that's settled I do agree with tailwhip though that this is entirely OT now so let's get back on topic and save further discussion on this for PM's. Thanks. |

true enough. which is why most people dont bother with digital version of the manga. however if i was a betting man i have a nasty feeling that they did this as a protest of digital manga going that kickstarter project to get the kodomo no jikan manga to be officially released in the US instead of having to tolerate fansub translations of the manga or even those 18+ fanart doujins that appear in comiket conventions. |

Tolerate isn't the word I'd use, those translations are actually good. Considering DMP hired the same guy behind that translation to do the official translating of Kodomo no Jikan as well, they agree... |

What does any of this have to do with digital manga as a format? Which I prefer but whatever. Libre releases over here are mostly paper. Are you confusing the name of the company (Digital Manga Inc) with the format some companies use? And why would any of this have anything to do with Kodomo no Jikan when Libre doesn't publish it? Libre publishes BL They don't care about some other publisher's books. |

I think he's saying that libre hates lolicon and did this in protest, which I highly, highly doubt. Kodomo no Jikan may have a reputation, but not so much so that a company would break a contract and potentially lose business over it. |

I checked their online stores (all of them) and none has retracted/remove Libre titles from their catalog.
They truly intended to push Libre buttons, If DMP keep this up they'll be heading to something worst can contract termination. |
