That's not what he says. He says "either way they're killed" (どっちにしろ殺される) ie. the men will die, either by sexy sweater or by iron maiden, hence they're idiots. (In case someone didn't get it the "virgin killer" refers to male virgins, ie. the sweater is so sexy that seeing a girl wearing it is deadly to thirsty virgin guys.)
Wait, I'm ESL but since when is "maiden" a synonym for "virgin"?  Do we call virgin guys maidens, too?

Huh. Such an odd trend from a US point of view.
I'm pretty sure I've seen a bunch of backless sweaters/halter strap sweater dresses every time I go shopping in Forever 21, Urban Outfitters, etc... |

It's a fairly archaic term to describe an unmarried woman. And since in those days, unmarried woman=virgin (in theory, anyway), the term can be used as a synonym for virgin. And, as a fair hearted maiden myself: damn, that sweater. |

No, I'm aware of that - but unless I missed something "virgin" isn't a gendered word, unlike "maiden". Men can be virgins, too. |
