I haven't played a new Pokemon game since ORAS (not out of dislike, I just haven't kept up with them) but I guess if the new patch(es) fix the performance more then I'll maybe give this one a shot. I'll have a lot of catching up to do learning new Pokemon though

I have similar feelings about this game. It has that classic, enjoyable Pokemon game-play, but the graphics and technical errors are really, really difficult to overlook (and I'm usually not the kind of person that complains about the visuals too much in a Pokemon game). In some ways, it does feel regressive coming off of Legends:Arceus back in January. I hope Gamefreak pays attention to the criticism and at least attempts to rectify the issues.
