These people might do better than the MPAA.Then again they might be as useful as the "Water Cops"we have in Vegas.You guys think Crunchyroll or Veoh have something to worry about now?

No, because it's up to Crunchyroll or Veoh to actively look out for it. Stuff can be uploaded quickly, and redundantly.

"Stuff" cannot be uploaded quickly and redundantly to Crunchyroll. Each file is individually approved by an actual person. Also hentai content isn't even allowed on Crunchyroll to begin with. |

you know I never really noticed, hentai has seemed about as easy to get for free as it was 2 or 3 years ago, I mean it looks like your hard at work but haven't really put a dent in the problem of making it hard to find this stuff.

wait a second, there are sites that legally sale hentai content? As in downloads like those pay $30 a month porn sites. I was under the impression if you paid for hentai then you paid about $30 for a 30 minute episode.

Hmmm, really? Quite honestly, this is somewhat a good sign to take down "illegal activity" but more so as a bad sign for us "downloaders" who pretty much won't able to get to see any new or "different" hentai on DVDs if there's a dumb-a** import restrictions laws intact. no thanks to Customs Canada Bahh, don't mind me...I'm just a little "testy" today.

I don't know if those sites are actually legal sites to begin with. My friend is a paying member of the sites and like you said, it's about 30 dollars a month. |

At least it appears someone's doing enough damage to report it as opposed to the wishy-washy "we're trying to make it more difficult for people to download our content" I got from the Funimation representative at a con I attended last year. Now we can only hope that things don't go overboard, it would be nice if they allowed for a balance.

Something interesting I noticed is that HentaiKey's websites removed almost ALL their hentai videos and HentaiKey now has some sort of contract with a Hentai Distributor who is uncensoring and translating some Hentais and allowing HentaiKey members to stream them off the company's site.
So pretty much, the stuff you can go out and buy is gone, and some to-be-released and licensed material is being uncensored and subtitled for a small fee. |

they won't be selling anything to the people who use to download it for free( if they can be that successful) if they keep up dvd only releases, at this rate you can get unlimited porn for a month at the same price 1 30 minute episode cost. Fighting it is one thing, but you have to make people that get for free want to buy it, and without digital distribution that can match regular porn it won't happen. I was under the impression hentaikey was legit, since it says all content is licensed by hentaiusa and from what I can read they seem like any law following porn site, and it does say that they have 1000+ movies, but if this artical say that websites can get a license to sell their content then it has to be out they, otherwise they wouldn't mention it like there are some legal exceptions out there, I know shawne post here sometimes, he needs to clear this up if there are other ways to get hentai then dvd's.

Just to let you know, a lot of sites have hentai but never actually had permission to put it up, even the $30 month deal.
The content is still illegal. And half the sites don't even know what they're placing on...it'll just say "BIG BOOBED BLOND GETS BANGED BY THREE GUYS." Or something stupid like that. Anyway, I think this is a good idea. Too many young people are accessing it for free regardless...it's kind of disturbing to me. |

Hentaikey is far from legit. All of the sites are full of full-lisensed hentai and anime series, full manga series scans, etc.. etc... I guess they had one contract before, but everyone wants more, so all the sites start hosting tons of illegal material in-order to get an audience. If it was just legal stuff on the HentaiKey accounts, it would be like 30 hentai series, and thats its. For that much it would be same price to just go out and buy all the series on DVD instead of getting an account. (runs $30 a month currently) |

I was hoping that sites like Hentaikey would get their rears handed to them.
The less circus clowns like them; the more hentai anime titles we can get uncensored (and with professional English dubbing). And yes, these people who hadn't been buying before need to start buying now. I joked that "anime is an expensive hobby for broke people." But $20-$30 a title is not going to kill. (I'm living proof.) Also, you Canadians (and whoever else who are having difficulty getting anime legitimately) needs to gather together and do something about your laws. Don't just sit there and complain about how evil the laws are. |
