Shibuya Hachi Anime's 4th Part Reveals October 4 Debut in Video

3rd part debuted in April


The official website for the anime based on Shibuya City Tourism Association's official mascot character SHIBUYA♡HACHI (pronounced as Shibuya Love Hachi) revealed on Friday that the anime's fourth cours (quarter of a year) will debut on October 4. The video below previews HACHI's theme song "Brand New Episode."

Yūji Umoto is returning from the third cours to direct the anime at Nippon Animation with animation cooperation by Usagiou. Ryōsuke Aoike is returning from the third cours to oversee the series scripts. PansonWorks is designing the characters with Sachiko Umoto designing the characters for animation.

The anime's first cours debuted in April 2024. The anime plays within the eeny meeny miney mo program that airs on Saturdays at 7:00 a.m, and is also available on various streaming services and on YouTube. The second part debuted in October 2024, and the third part debuted on April 6.

The SHIBUYA♡HACHI television anime is part of the commemoration of what would have been 100th birthday of the city's world-renowned faithful dog Hachiko.

In the anime, Hachi has been watching over the city as the symbol of Shibuya station's loyal dog Hachiko statue. Hachi begins to move in present day Shibuya, spending a relaxed and fun daily life with his cheerful friends.
